The 28mm wide-angle lens* lets you easily capture large groups of people indoors or expansive architectural structures and scenes with dynamic width and rich perspective, even from short distances. * Converted to standard 35mm camera equivalent, at the maximum wide position.

The DMC-FH3 is equipped with a 5x optical zoom lens (35mm camera equivalent: 28-140mm). The Extra Optical Zoom function*1 uses the center part of the CCD to extend this 5x zoom ratio to powerful 10.5x zoom (35mm camera equivalent: 294mm) at a resolution of 3-megapixel or less. Adding the Extra Optical Zoom to the 4x digital zoom* extends the total zooming power to a maximum of 42x.

Very convenient shirt-pocket camera that produces pleasing images. Versatile and plenty of features for such a small package. Good enough to substitute for a Super Zoom on a casual day trip. Bought the camera while on vacation in the Caribbean, and never pulled out the D-SLR again. Good video, not bad indoors and in low light, and nice iA feature for immediate situations. Would like a bit more than the 5x zoom, but otherwise would buy it again.

Antique cameras are of great demand and attract many photographers. They are hand crafted using materials such as metal, plastic, brass, polished, wood, and leather. They are of varying types namely; multiple lens, portable, hand stand, and box type. The wooden antique cameras range from box type to the portable type. The classic wooden type had magical images appear on the ground of glass of this item. This inspired the search for a way to fix these beautiful images. The box type has inner lenses that extend to 13 inches when the inner boxes are extended on focus.

In the mahogany box type, focus is achieved by sliding the inner section of the box in and out. They consist of sliding brass lens for focusing bright, sharp images on the ground glass with a Fresnel that works well for drawing.

It is important to restore these antique cameras. The metal parts of these items which are usually nickel plated or solid brass, should be well taken care of. This can be done by use of metal polish which can helps restore them to their original brightness. I bought this as a backup for my new 7d. I decided to go with the name brand this time. I had a third party battery backup for my Rebel and it only lasted a year.
